Hello PTC Community,

This is my first thread and i have no idea were to post, i just got lost in my rendering problem and had to ask someone to help me, i hope someone will help me here.

So i have a part, went through this rendering tutorial and i started rendering with an output of an .jpeg file. I had maximum on all options and i've set all parameters and lights and scenes as i pleased.

Now this messege showed up just when i clicked "Render window". I have no idea why, i have no idea what i've pressed...

By the way, i have the student version PTC wildfire 5.0 installed. If there is some information you need to know to help me please do tell me.

This is the tutorial i followed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLXz5Nwf160

One color for the entire part

Hello,

I'm trying to change the color of a part. This is because I want to made it stand out in an assembly, so I'm thinking bright pink instead of the standard turquoise. In WF2 I did this all the time.

Now in Creo2 however, I can't get the Appearance Manager to co-operate with me. I can only select surfaces, not the entire part like I used to do.

Any ideas?

Also, will this color be visible in CreoView? I hate that all-turquoise blob...

Rendering Issues in Creo Parametric 2.0

Whenever I try to render a part using Photolux as my renderer I only recieve black screens as my outputs. This problem doesn't extend to photorender as I have been able to get complete renders from it. I've tried to search the Creo Discussions to find any other people experiencing my problem. This was the closest I found: http://communities.ptc.com/thread/36658 . Though this solution couldn't work for me considering I dont have McAfee installed, though I have checked Creo's permissions inside my antivirus and firewall. No luck so far. Here's what a render window looks like on output Render Output.png

The same black screen pops up using render reigon as well, and one thing I've noticed is that in rendering videos a "particle like" effect ensues as the images is rendered and refined, that doesnt happen for me when using the full render window and region renders. I've also tried photo outputs as well and have no success there either.

The fact that I recieve an output with watermark is interesting but it is still all black other than that. I've toggled scenes, rooms, lights, and effects and had a consistent black output. Any help would be appreciated.

Gibt es eine Möglichkeit dies zu ändern?

Mirrors

Hi All,

I have created a small timber cabinet in Creo Parametric(academic edition) which has a mirror inserted into door.

I can't seem to be able to select a material that represents a mirror in the final render. The only option I can think of is to select glass and edit the reflective settings, however in the final render its still see through.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Exporting animationto blender

Hello,

I'm a mechanical engineering student from germany currently working on my bachelor thesis.

I've modeled some kind of hexapod in Creo and animated it in the mechanics tab with data I got from Matlab/Simulink.

Now I'd like to render it in blender. I've done this several times and it worked perfectly by exporting the model as .stl-file. But I never had any animation in my models.

Is there any possibility to export the animated model into blender?

Thanks

Timo

Thanks for help.

Windchill upgrade to Creo - decal issue (duller/greyish colors?)

$

Hey folks,

Our company upgraded from Wildfire 5 to Creo 2, since then I've had a nagging issue with the "decal" functionality.

I want to overlay an image (.bmp or .png) onto a surface of a model. The image contains text, graphics, etc. It needs to look aesthetically correct. The way I always do it is by the Decal tool in Appearance Editor (without touching bump/color texture). When I do this in Wildfire it looks how I expect: the colors match the original image.

But if I follow the exact same procedure in Creo the results are different: the colors look significantly more dull than the original image. Any white graphics become gray, everything is a shade darker. I've tried this a hundred different ways with different images and different models on different computers to the same result.

I've resolved that it has nothing to do with the "color properties" (as in intensity, ambient, highlight, transparency), because these have no effect on the tint of the image, just the color behind it. And if I make them identical in both programs I still have the same issue. So I assume this is caused by some setting that changed from Wildfire to Creo.

Here's a random example. The image on the left was made on Wildfire... the decal looks just as vivid as the original. The right is with Creo... the decal is duller. I can't figure out why.

Thanks!!

Animated GIF secrets (?)

What is the secret to making an animated GIF "seamless"?

I trim out the last frame when capturing a mechanism sequence but when I convert it to a GIF, it is always jerky at the repeat transition.

Is anyone able to reliably get a smooth continuous GIF? . ..and how do you accomplish this?

PTC Creo Parametric 3.0 - Rendering Enhancements

Enhanced graphic performance and quality

PTC Creo Parametric continues to see significant improvement in graphics performance and capability. Shade with reflections has been significantly improved to support realistic materials with access to different material classes that will each be displayed appropriately, such as metal, glass, paint, and plastic. In addition, bump maps are now realistically displayed in the graphics areas. Full support has been added for HDR images that can now show realistic reflections interactively on the geometry, offering control over the intensity, location, and size of the HDR image.

All these changes allow users to work in an immersive environment and see a representation of how the product will look in the real world.

... I like Creo ... and... I have to created for you new Rendered Wallpapers with high resolution - 4K resolution (3840x2160) or UHD - ultra high definition rendered Wallpaper
